Author Guidelines


General Information

International Research Conference on Innovation, Smart Culture and Well-Beings, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, is a peer-reviewed journal, which is published once a year by the Institute of Research and Development, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University. Submissions should be sent to the Editor of International Research Conference on Innovation, Smart Culture and Well-Beings. The submission of a manuscript will be taken to imply that all contributing authors attest that manuscripts and material submitted to International Research Conference on Innovation, Smart Culture and Well-Beings are original and have not been published or submitted elsewhere. Submissions of a manuscript to International Research Conference on Innovation, Smart Culture and Well-Beings imply that the authors concede to the open-access distribution of the manuscript, including all content contained therein. 

Manuscript Submission

Hard copy submissions cannot be accepted. All submitted articles should report original previously unpublished research results, experimental or theoretical, and will be peer-reviewed. If there is a conflict of interest or a competing interest, a statement concerning the conflict of interest or competing interest must be submitted to the editor and a statement must be made in the manuscript. 

Manuscript Review

All published journal manuscripts are refereed by competent researchers. Therefore, a full double-blind international refereeing process is used in which: 1) manuscripts are sent to reviewers for their peer-review process; 2) the reviewers’ recommendations determine whether a manuscript will be accepted/ accepted subject to change/ subject to resubmission with significant changes/ rejected. For manuscripts that require change, the same reviewers will be used to ensure that the quality of the revised manuscript is acceptable.  

All manuscripts are refereed, and the Editor reserves the right to refuse any typescript, whether on invitation or otherwise, and to make suggestions and/or modification before publication. 

Manuscripts 

should be submitted in a .doc file, in A4 size format, in US English, and in Times New Roman font. There should be no line spacing in the manuscript. Font size for the title is 18pt in bold and centered. Font size for the authors’ names is 11pt in bold, and the authors’ names and addresses together 10pt. The rest of the manuscript should be in 11pt. 

Style and Format

All submissions are to be in American English. Prepare manuscripts preferably using Microsoft Word on an A4 (210x297 mm) page format with a margin 2cm on all sides. The entire text should be left justified. Text and text in tables, figure legends and appendices should be in Times new Roman 12pt whenever possible. 

-          A period should be followed by a single space. 

-          Single spaces must be used between words.

-          Do not boldface any portion of the text.

-          Use italics only for book titles and journal names in the references or in cases where it is required, i.e. scientific names, or Latin abbreviations. 

-          Do not use professional titles for individuals mentioned in the text or acknowledgements. 

Units of Measurement 

All measurements should follow the International System of Units (SI)

-          Date: 10 December 1970

 Abbreviations

Standard abbreviations can be used throughout the manuscript. Nonstandard abbreviations must be defined in the text following their first use. Provide a list of all nonstandard abbreviations after the keywords. Define all symbols together with the list of abbreviations.

Citations

-          In the text, references are cited with surnames.

-          References with one author: (Pianka, 1969)

-          Reference with two authors: (Wicker and Eidenmüller, 1995)

-          References with multiple authors: (Enge et al., 2004)

-          References with two articles which were published during the same year by the same authors: (Kayee and Boonman, 2012a, b)

-          Reference with article in preparation: (Grismer, in prep.)

-          Reference of unpublished observation: (Cota, unpub. obs.)

-          Reference of personal communication: (Cromby, pers. comm.)

-          Reference with article accepted for publication: (Grismer et al., in press)

-          Organize references chronologically within a series, separated by a semi-colon; i.e., (Pianka, 1969; Bayless, 2002; Ibrahim, 2002)

-          Citations of figures in the text are abbreviated in parentheses, e.g. (Fig. 1), (Figs. 1, 2), (Figs. 1-3)

-          Citations of tables in the text are in parentheses, e.g. (Table 1), (Tables 1-3)

Articles

Articles published in International Research Conference on Innovation, Smart Culture and Well-Beings, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University should be included in the following order: a title, the author’s name, the author’s address and email address, abstract, introduction, background, methods, results, discussion, conclusion, references, and appendices. Depending on the article, not all of these sections will be needed.

Title: The title should be concise and informative, briefly summarizing the scope of the article. Avoid abbreviations and formulae where possible. The title should be centered at the top of the page. 

Author’s Name: The names referenced by numerical superscripts (when there is more than one institution and one author). 

Abstract: The abstract should contain brief information on the purpose, methods, results, and conclusion (without subheadings). It indicates significant data, and points out major findings and conclusions. An abstract should have a maximum length of 200 words.

Keywords: Ideally, 3-6 keywords should be listed.

Author’s Name and Address: The names of the author(s) and address(es) of their institutions (if affiliated) should be listed in the order given by the author’s names.

Introduction: The introduction should provide sufficient background information to allow the reader to understand and evaluate the value of the study. It must also supply a rationale for the study. Cite references to provide the most salient background rather than an exhaustive review of the topic.  

Background: Include a review with connections to relevant ideas. Provide background information.
 
Methods: Describe the subject, materials, procedures, instrumentation, and design. Subheadings should be used. Sufficient details and clear descriptions should be given about the context of the work, so the work can be understood, the method of inquiry can be understood, and your work can be reproduced. The validity of your instruments and evidence of reliability should be given. 

Results: The results should be presented with clarity and precision. The placement of figures and tables should be indicated by: (insert Fig. 1); (insert Table 1).  Captions for figures and tables should be given at the end of the manuscript. The figures and tables themselves should be sent as separate files (see sections below on figures and tables).

Discussion: Discussion should provide an interpretation of the data and relate them to existing knowledge. Explore the significance of the results. Discuss how your work connects to or interrupts what has already been published. This section can be combined with results, as “Results and Discussion.”

Conclusion: The main conclusions and implications of the study should be given in this section. Suggestions and predictions for future studies can be given here.

Acknowledgements: Specify contributions for the article, such as administrative support and critical reviews of the manuscript.

References: References should be listed in alphabetical order according to ISI Journal Title Abbreviations. Authors are fully responsible for the accuracy of the references.

 References from non-academic sources are not acceptable, such as Wikipedia, YouTube, Facebook, etc.

 For further information regarding proper citation of references, and acceptable reference material, please consult the editor.

 Appendices: This section is reserved for questionnaires, tests, and other information that are important in understanding the methods and materials used in the study.

 Figures: Each figure should be on separate files. They should be prepared using applications capable of generating high resolution TIFF or jpg (least preferred). 

-          Color or gray scale photographs: minimum 300 dpi.

-          Bitmapped line drawings: minimum of 1000 dpi.

-          Combination bitmapped line (color or gray scale photographs: minimum of 500 dpi.

 Figure legends: It should be typed in numerical order. Begin each legend with a title and include a sufficient description so that the figure is understandable without reading the text of the manuscript. 

 Tables: Tables should be prepared in Microsoft Excel on separate files. Headings should be in bold letters. A table should not exceed one page when printed. Use lower case letters in superscripts a, b, c… for special remarks.
